"Welcome Home"
That's what our pm said to me at the house today. We had an informal walk-through today with our pm & our dads and when I got there he said "welcome home." I legit had to walk away for a sec because I got all misty-eyed. So much happened in the last couple days - cabinets & countertops in kitchen, sinks & vanities & toilets in all bathrooms but the powder room, trim work has begun, recessed lighting finished in kitchen and basement...so many things installed that are "homey". I can finally feel our house getting its personality - it feels more like ours each time we see something go up that we chose ourselves. It's still really hard to wrap my mind around that all this space is soon to be ours and it's all new and really nice and exactly what we want...its heady and emotional and exciting. I'm just over the moon with how everything has turned out so far. So without further ado, here are some pictures from today, a couple featuring my father-in-law, my youngest Dominic who was "helping" in every room, and me in the mirror of the powder room:) I'm loving the counters - who knew Formica could look so nice?! - and the cabinet crown moulding in the kitchen. And I'm actually really liking the vinyl floor in the kids bath, basement bath, & laundry - it looks really sharp!

I See a White Wall and I Want it Painted....Something
This week brought a first coat of white (grrr) paint (hoping there's at least SOME contrast between the trim and the walls - stark white walls make me a little ragey), the beginnings of flooring, and tile work in the master bath. And a big change with our sales rep, booo! She has accepted a promotion within the company, so beginning Sep 1 we'll be working with a new SR. So now we've lost our original project manager and our original sales rep. Bummer!!!! But it should speak volumes about the awesome people we've worked with that they've both been promoted - both have made this whole process really stress-free and easy. We're so appreciative of all their hard work and professionalism. And without further ado - in random, caption-free Blogger app order - a barrage of pictures from our outgoing SR from her weekly email update. I hope the incoming SR does this for us too!!! We've been spoiled - she has big shoes to fill!!! And to "E" if she's reading - best of luck to you in Cincy!! Thanks for everything, especially for your patience with my ridiculous questions early on:) - you rock!!!!

Another brick in the wall
All kinds of action over at Lot 15 this week! Drywall is up and the exterior brick is almost complete. Have I talked about how much I love the color brick we chose? It's called Falls Canyon and I am head-over-heels for it. Especially now seeing it up? Forget it. It looks fantastic. I'm so thrilled with our choice and I cannot wait to see how it looks with the Monterey Taupe siding.
Once again, big ups to our awesome SR who updates us weekly (even though we drive by every other day:)via email with tons of pictures. I'm blogging from my phone, so the pics are in random Blogger app order, no captions. Enjoy!!
